Driving Dutch Design
In 2023, I had the opportunity to be part of Driving Dutch Design — a development program that truly helped shape me as a more confident and professional designer. It was an inspiring journey alongside a group of like-minded creatives, each driven by their own vision and purpose.
Throughout the program, I gained valuable tools through masterclasses covering everything from finance, marketing, to legal essentials — the kinds of things they don’t always teach you in design school, but that make a world of difference when building a sustainable practice.
One of the most exciting moments was taking part in Dutch Design Week, where I organised the Women & Design market and contributed to the talks focused on female perspectives in design. It was powerful to see how our voices, stories, and work connected with a wider audience.
Driving Dutch Design also created space for growth through unique networking opportunities — including a Dragon’s Den-style pitch session that pushed me out of my comfort zone in the best way possible.
More than anything, this program helped me connect: to myself as a designer, to a strong creative community, and to the broader field of Dutch design. I’m grateful for the experience, the people I met, and the doors it continues to open.
